Experiences and Projects
Laboratory for Agile and Resilient Systems, NYU (2022/09-now)
Combating Misinformation on Online Social Platform
- Proposed a three-player Bayesian persuasion game to capture interactions between the online social platform, content creator, and user, where the multi-type branching process is utilized to model the spread of misinformation content.
PRADA: Proactive Risk Assessment of Demand Attacks
- Proposed a Stackelberg game-based framework for holistic proactive risk assessment of misinformed demand attacks on route recommendations.
- Developed a trust mechanism that leverages usersβ confidence in the integrity of the recommendation system.
Adaptive Navigational Recommendations for Urban Transportation
- Introduced an incentive-compatible route recommendation, considering user noncompliance and non-user driver behavior.
- Developed route update schemes based on projected gradient descent to help users adapt to rapidly changing traffic conditions.
Herd Accountability from Auditing Privacy-Preserving Algorithms
- Proposed an audit framework based on the rational inattention model to capture how users’ information access impacts audit performance.
- Utilized the Stackelberg game to analyze how herd accountability influences the developersβ privacy adherence and hence building user trust.
Urban Traffic-responsive Tilt Camera Surveillance System
- Designed a camera tilt online control system for urban traffic management using GNN transformers for prediction based on real-time traffic simulation data from SUMO.
Wireless Mobile Network Lab, NTU (2020/08-2022/08)
Privacy and Energy-Aware Split Deep Learning in Edge Camera Network
- Formulated the user association problem in edge networks, addressing multi-view detection, privacy, and power savings through split-ML.
- Proposed a coalition formation method to solve the NP-hard set partition problem heuristically, proving convergence and stability.
Resource Allocation for Decomposable DNN in EdgeβIoT Framework
- Explored layer-level decomposition for flexible networking and computing resource allocation.
- Utilized a VCG-based mechanism for management under accuracy and FPS requirements in image/video recognition applications.
Production Control Exploiting 5G-enabled IIoT and Edge Computing
- Pioneered an interdisciplinary project seeking to boost production efficiency with AI-assisted video analytics and 5G edge computing by solving resource allocation and configuration issues using optimization techniques and game theory.
Logitech Far East Ltd (2020/03-2020/06)
Electrical Engineering Intern
- Developed an improvement proposal for the G915 TKL keyboard based on cross-team discussions and user interviews.
- Disassembled the model, added firmware codes and modified the circuit board to build a prototype with gesture control.
